Sri Lanka Air Force Station Weerawila celebrated its 42nd anniversary yesterday (1 June 2020). However, due to the situation with respect to the COVID-19 the Station conducted a Blood Donation Campaign today (2 June 2020) at Station Medical Section in collaboration with Blood Bank of the District General Hospital at Hambantota.

The campaign was conducted under the guidance of the Commanding Officer, Group Captain Manoj Kappetipola with the aim of providing aid to the National Blood Transfusion Service to cater the demand for blood during the prevailing health situation in the country.
