Pace Stick Awarding Ceremony of Drill Instructor Techniques Course at the SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa

The Pace Sticks Awarding Ceremony of the No 47 Drill Instructors Techniques Course (Airmen) was held at Sri Lanka Air Force Combat Training School Diyatalawa on 27 June 2020.

The Commanding Officer of the SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa, Air Commodore C Wickramaratne graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Officer Commanding Training, Wing Commander WHMBS Bandara, all Officers and Instructors were also present at the occasion. Further, Sergeant 30407 Chandrasena KKGCJ was adjudged as the Best All Round Drill Instructor of the course.

10 Airmen were qualified to receive pace sticks during the ceremony. The Commanding Officer addressed the new Drill Instructors and congratulated them on the successful completion of the course. The Commanding Officer emphasized that through hard work and dedicated training they have reached an important mile stone of their career and all the Drill instructors should work with perseverance to discharge duties of their instructorship in the SLAF.
