The Outgoing Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Mullaitivu, Group Captain AN Wijesiriwardena USP, handed over duties to Group Captain ADR Liyanaarachchige RWP, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), BA (Def Stu), psc. The Ceremonial Handing over/ Taking over Parade took place at the Station yesterday (19 December 2020).

The outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain AN Wijesiriwardena USP, took over the Command of the Station on 1 October 2019 and served in the position for one year and two months. During his tenure he has taken many measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and delivered his maximum effort in establishing a SLAF Quarantine Center in Mullaitivu to serve the nation.

The incoming Commanding Officer, Group Captain Liyanaarachchige was the Secretary to the Presidential Task Force to prevent transmission COVID-19 virus in Military Establishments before being appointed as the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Mullaitivu.
