The Change of Command of SLAF Station Palaly was held on 30 July 2022 where Group Captain SPVK Senadheera RWP, RSP, USP, MCPS, MDS, MHRM, BA(Def Stu), MITD (SL), psc handed over the Command to Group Captain MPA Galappaththi RSP and Bar, USP.

Group Captain MPA Galappaththi previously held the appointment as Commanding Officer No. 02 Leisure and Recreational Wing at SLAF Base Ratmalana before being appointed as the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Palaly. The outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain SPVK Senadheera will take over the appointment of Commanding Officer of SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa.
