THE SRI LANKA AIR FORCE STATION IRANAMADU CELEBRATES 11TH ANNIVERSARY

The Sri Lanka Air Force Station Iranamadu proudly celebrates its 11th Anniversary today (03 August 2022) under the guidance of the Commanding Officer, Group Captain DMR Dassanayake.
The anniversary day proceeding commenced with a traditional working parade which was reviewed by the Commanding Officer followed by an address to the all ranks and civilians. The Commanding Officer stressed the importance of the Station and he appreciated the valuable contributions made by all service personnel including civilians during challenging circumstances. Subsequently, a multi religious programme and a Cricket Tournament were conducted.
Giving prominence to the community service activities, all personnel of the Station conducted a Dry Ration Donation at the Alagapuri Primary School in Iranamadu together with the Salvation Army of Sri Lanka. The quantity of 200 ration packs were donated to the low income families covering three Divisional Secretariats (Ramanathapuram, Mavadiamman and Mayanu) in Kilinochchi district with the participation of all ranks of SLAF Station Iranamadu and representatives from Salvation Army.
