The Change of Command of the SLAF Academy China Bay was held yesterday (05 December 2023). The traditional Handing Over/ Taking Over Parade took place at the Academy Headquarters where the outgoing Commandant Air Commodore NHDN DIAS WWV and Bar, USP, MDS, Pg Dip (IR), psc, qhi handed over command to Air Commodore SPVK Senadheera RWP, RSP, USP, MCPS, MDS, MHRM, BA (Def Stu), MITD (SL), AMITD (SL), psc. Air Commodore NHDN DIAS will be proceeding to  Air Force Headquarters from where he will be proceeding on a local training.

The new  Acting Commandant, Air Commodore SPVK Senadheera assumed office soon after the completion of the traditional Handing Over/Taking Over Parade. Air Commodore SPVK Senadheera previously held the appointment of Commanding Officer at SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa before being appointed as the Acting Commandant of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay.
