The 60th National Judo Championship 2023 was held on 12 and 13 January 2024 at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium, Colombo. The finals and awards ceremony was held at the same venue on 13 January 2024. Major General W P A D W Nanayakkara graced the occasion as the chief guest. The event was attended by Chairman SLAF Judo, Air Commodore DBV Weerasinghe, former Chairman SLAF Judo, Air Commodore MPA Galappaththi, Secretary SLAF Judo, Group Captain MADCI Gunasinghe and SLAF Judo officials to witness the occasion.

The championship was conducted in ten (10) weight categories for men and nine (09) weight categories for women, including open and team events. More than 250 players from thirty-three (33) teams took part in the event.

The SLAF men's and women's teams emerged as runners-up, securing nine (09) Gold, nine (09) Silver and eleven (11) Bronze medals. In addition, Sergeant Chamara Darmawardana won the Open Men’s event and the Sri Lanka Air Force Judo team secured victory in the mixed team event during the Championship.
