COMMANDER’S INSPECTION AT SLAF STATION AMPARA

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal
Udeni Rajapaksa, conducted
the Annual Commander’s Inspection at SLAF Station Ampara today (17
May 2024).
The Commander reviewed the Commander’s Inspection Parade, commanded by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain DSMLK Sugathadasa. Further, the Certificates of Commendation were awarded to the following service personnel in recognition of their meritorious contributions to the Station in particular and to the Air Force in general.

Sergeant Ananda HMP (Operations Ground I)
Sergeant Gunarathne PGSK (OperatioGround I)
Sergeant Dilruk RMMS (Operations Ground I)
Corporal Dissanayake AADB (Operations Ground II)
Corporal Kalerathne HL (Operations Ground II)
During the course of inspection, the Commander visited the Station Headquarters, Parachute Training School, MT Section, Airmen's Social Club, Regimental Training Centre and all other areas of the Station.
At the conclusion of the inspection, the Commander took a seat at the Airmen’s Mess with a cross section of officers, airmen, airwomen, and civilian staff for the customary All Ranks Lunch.
During his speech, the Commander expressed profound gratitude to all personnel and acknowledged their unwavering and tireless efforts in maintaining the station at exceptionally high standards and their significant contributions to social work. In conclusion, the Commander extended his appreciation to the Commanding Officer, officers, other ranks and civilian staff who made untiring efforts in elevating the Station to its current level of excellence
