COMMANDER’S INSPECTION AT SLAF BASE HINGURAKGODA

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, conducted the Annual Commander’s Inspection at SLAF Base Hingurakgoda today (31 May 2024). The Commander reviewed the Inspection Parade, commanded by the Base Commander, Air commodore Dinesh Jayaweera. Further, the Certificates of Commendation were awarded to the following service personnel in recognition of their meritorious contributions to the SLAF Base Hingurakgoda.

Corporal Wimalasooriya JANS (Logistics Assistant)
During the course of inspection, the Commander visited the Base Headquarters, Equipment Section and No 2 Supply and Maintenance Depot, No 9 Squadron, No 7 Squadron, Airmen's Social Club, No 25 Regiment Wing and all other areas of the Base. The Commander took a seat at the Airmen’s Mess with a cross section of officers, airmen, airwomen, and civilian staff for the customary All Ranks Lunch.
During his speech, the Commander expressed profound gratitude to all personnel and acknowledged their unwavering and tireless efforts in maintaining the Base at exceptionally high standards and their significant contributions to social work. In conclusion, the Commander extended his appreciation to the Base Commander, Commanding Officers of all formations, officers, other ranks and civilian staff who made untiring efforts in elevating the Base to its current level of excellence.
