The event featured a Nutrition Awareness Poster Competition, where local schoolchildren were invited to creatively explore ways to combat malnutrition using the resources from their environment.

The theme, ‘How to Fight Malnutrition using Our Environment’ encouraged students to design posters illustrating practical nutrition solutions, such as growing nutritious crops, consuming local fruits and preserving food. This initiative was very relevant, as malnutrition continues to be a significant challenge in the region.

The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Brig Gen Imtaj Uddin, Sector East Commander, the Prefect of Houte Cotto Prefecture and Mr. Fidele BALENDJI, School Inspector of Houte Cotto Prefecture.

The event concluded with a poster exhibition and award ceremony, where the top five winners received prizes, including cash awards, certificates and gifts. The program also featured musical performances, a science programme and an origami workshop, further enhancing the event’s educational impact.
