COMMANDER DELIVERS GUEST LECTURE TO COURSE NO. 18 STUDENT OFFICERS OF DSCSC

Upon the invitation of the Commandant of Defence Services Command & Staff College (DSCSC),Major General DKSK Dolage, the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, addressed the student officers of Course No. 18 at DSCSC in Sapugaskanda, today (03 December 2024).
Course No. 18 of DSCSC consists of 154 student officers, including 81 from the Army, 22 from the Navy and 26 from the Air Force. Additionally, there are 26 foreign officers from 12 nations.
Upon arrival, the Commander of the Air Force was warmly welcomed by Commandant DSCSC, Major General Dolage, who guided him through the rest of the proceedings. The theme of the Commander of the Air Force's address centered on the subject of ‘Contemporary Global Security Landscape, Sri Lanka Air Force Reforms with ever-changing Complexities.’
During the lecture, the Commander delivered an insightful discourse on critical topics such as military modernization, national security and its facets, terrorism and extremism, organized crime, economic security, environmental security, cyber security and several other pivotal subjects of contemporary relevance.
The occasion was attended by Chief Instructors at Defence Services Command & Staff College, academic and directing staff and the student officers of Course No. 18.
Highlighting the significance of the occasion, the Commander of the Air Force and Commandant DSCSC exchanged mementoes. Furthermore, Commander of the Air Force shared his remarks in the visitors' book before departing from the premises.
