Airwoman Manjula Kumarasinghe became the marathon queen after she crossed the finish line before the other competitors today (04th June 2011) at the National Sport festival’s marathon.

In the 42Km event, 60 competitors representing all the provinces except North and East had run from Puttalam to Colombo and back.

Airwoman Manjula Kumarasinghe finished first whilst Air women Deepani, Malkanthi and Dilhari secured third, fifth and seventh places respectively.
 
Airwomen Kalyani and Dilhari secured the second and ninth places respectively at the walking race which took place concurrent to the marathon.
