Final Batch of Ex LTTE Cadres complete Rehab

The last batch of Ex-LTTE cadres who were rehabilitated at the Sri Lanka Air Force Trikonamadu Rehabilitation Centre was handed over to the Protective Accommodation and Rehabilitation Centre at Nelumkulama, Vavuniya on 10th June 2011.  

The 553 members of this batch were given vocational training in the following areas which would hold them in good stead in the future.








    a.    Motor mechanism training course of three wheelers and motor cycles.
    b.    Agriculture.
    c.    Handicraft.
    d.    Driving.
    e.    Garments.
    f.     Mason.
    g.    Carpentry.
    h.    Welding.
    i.     Aluminum fabrication.
    j.    Tinkering and Painting.
    k.    Languages - Sinhala and English.
   
Earlier in few occasions over 2000 cadres were trained and released with the above talents.

Coordinator East to Commissioner General Rehabilitation, Brigadier KWY Jayathilaka attended the occasion with the Squadron Leader Kalum Wijerathna and Squadron Leader Buddhika Bandara who were in charge in this project.
