Command  welfare projects complex, Guwanpura was declared opened on 06th March 2012 by the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama at Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo.The welfare shop, administered by the command welfare projects officer Air Commodore W L R P Rodrigo provides all essentials at extremely low cost.The project is based on a concept of the Commander of the Air Force to ensure the welfare of the men and women under his Command.
