Workshop for SLAF Pre-School Teachers

A workshop was conducted by the Directorate of Welfare jointly with Seva Vanitha Unit, for Pre-School Teachers of the SLAF in order to introduce a new syllabus and text books.
The workshop was held on 07th March 2012 at the AFHQ Auditorium under the patronage of the Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Neelika Abeywickrema and Director Welfare Air Vice Marshal Anura Silva.
The workshop was conducted by the Staff Officers of the Directorate of Welfare; Squadron Leader Prasad Godage and Flight Lieutenant Rathnasiri Dissanayake.
The objectives of the workshop were,
To introduce the new syllabus and the text books that is designed on it.
To familiarize the Rules & Regulations related to SLAF Pre-schools.
To provide an opportunity to have a better dialogue amongst Pre-school teachers and the Air Force.
Headquarters, in a more productive way.
Opening an avenue for the teachers to come up with their issues that may be considered important for them personally or for the pre-school.
To enhance the teachers’ capacity as an outstanding Air Force pre-school teacher with modern concepts of Montessori education.
To motivate the teachers to be equipped with the new techniques, tools and technology used in modern international pre-school set-up.The Officers in Charge of the SLAF Pre-schools and Teachers of SLAF Pre-Schools participated at this workshop.
