Annual Commander's Inspection at Sri Lanka Air Force Station, Palaly

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama, conducted the AOCs Inspection at SLAF Station Palaly  this morning (16 March 2012).

The Commander, upon arrival for the inspection, was received into the camp premises by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain Athula Kaluarachchi, through a street lining of airmen.

One Junior Non Commissioned Officer, one Leading Aircraftman and one Civilian were commended by the Commander for their meritorious contributions to the Station in particular and to the Air Force in general.

During the inspection, the Commander declared open two newly constructed cabanas situated on Pebble Beach.

On conclusion of the inspection, the Commander addressed the Officers, men and women of the Station and while praising the commendable job they had done he encouraged them to set and reach even higher goals.






Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
