Sri Lanka Air Force cricket club beat Burgher RC yesterday (14 October 2009) at the Riffle Green, Colombo, Sri Lanka Air Force Sports Club with a 31 run win over (D/L method). The airmen winning the toss invited their opponents to bat, who managed to score 178 all out (Dilhan Cooray 38, Weranga Dissanayake 49, Sidath Priyankara 3/31, Madura Sanjaya 3/42) in 47 over’s.

In response the Airmen were interrupted by bad light and were restricted to bat only 30.1 overs scoring 125 for the loss of 04 wickets (Achira Eranga 30, Marlan Madusanka 2/32).

The Airmen are scheduled to take on the Police team on 21 October 2009 in an encounter of the same tournament.
