An eventful day of social, religious and recreational activities marked the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Dental Unit SLAF Base Katunayake. This Dental Unit is a vital formation and a centre to deliver oral health care to the SLAF and continues to render many services since01st May 1977.

Coinciding with the Formation day celebrations, under the guidance of Commanding  Officer  Dental Unit Katunayake Sqn Ldr KDS Gunawardana Bana programme and special “Kavi Bana” was conducted by Ven. Katane Rahula Thero of  Abeysekararamaya Later Annual Dental get-together was successfully celebrated with the participation of ex servicemen of the Dental Branch, Dental Officers, all the members of the Branch and the families Director Dental Service Air Vice Marshal Ashoka Amunugama graced the occasion as chief guest.
