The closing address ceremony of Operation Air Advanced Course 01/2012 and Operator Motor transport Advanced Course 01/2012 was held on 14 May 2012 at TTS Auditorium with the participation of Commanding Officer Group Captain LD Gunawardena and Officer Commanding Training Wg Cdr CJ Hettiarachchi. Gp Capt SCK Pallawela and Gp Capt EAMW Amarakoon graced the occasion as the Chief Guests on behalf of the Director Air Operations and Director General Engineering respectively.

The Operation Air Advanced Course was commenced on 08 Feb 2012 and underwent both theory and practical training and passed out as competent Local Traffic Controllers. The Operator Motor transport Advanced Course was commenced on 31 Jan 2012 and they too followed both theory and practical training and passed out as professional Operator Motor transport.

The shield for the Best Airman of the Operation Air Advanced Course was awarded to 30552 Cpl Athapaththu and the Shield for the Best Airman of the Operator Motor transport Advanced Course was awarded to 30580 Cpl Rajapaksha HPDS for their exceptional performance.
