Head Of The Beira Regatta – 2012
The Air Force Rowing team participated at the annual ‘Head of the Beira’
Regatta held on the waters of the Beira Lake on Sunday 30th September.
The event organized by the Colombo Rowing Club is a race against the
clock rowed over a distance of two miles.
The Air Force coxed four emerged as the Champions by clocking a time of 12.28 minutes over the 2 mile course in the Men’s Open Coxed Fours event. Meanwhile, the Air Force Single Sculler emerged 3rd in the Men’s Open Single Sculls event clocking 14.05 Minutes. The winner of that event clocked a time of 13.53 minutes.
