The Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Neelika Abeywickrema laid the foundation stone for commencing the construction work of a new class room building for the “Valayaravu Tamil Kalvan School”. This was followed by presenting of gift parcels consisting of stationery, shoes and provisions to the 21 children of this school.

The event was organized under the patronage of the Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Neelika Abeywickrema in liaison with the Command Welfare Projects Officer Air Cdre Leonard Rodrigo and Wg Cdr Ajith Wawegama Commanding Officer of the SLAF Unit Batticaloa. The members of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, officers of SLAF Unit Batticaloa and parents of the children were also present at the function

The ladies of the SLAF Seva Vanitha also visited the Leprosy Hospital and presented clothes and linen to the patients of the hospital.
