SLAF Judokas Grab the Canadian Friendship Challenge Trophy Judo Championship

Sri Lanka Air Force Judokas won the Canadian Friendship Challenge Trophy
Judo Championship organized by the Chaminda Weerasingha Foundation with
the assistance of the Canadian embassy. The tournament was held on 19th
and 20th Oct 2012 at the Sudathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo. Over
400 competitors belonging to sports Clubs Island wide took part in this
tournament.
VAW 01498 Leading Aircraftswomen Wijewardana DYL was adjudged as the best ‘Technique Player’ in the women’s category. Overall the SLAF bagged 15 Gold Medals, 10 Silver and 2 Bronze Medals at the championship.
