SLAF emerged Runner-up in the Western Province 7 a side Rugby tournament 2012 which was worked off on 01st and 02nd December 2012.

24 rugby teams, in the Western Province took part in this year’s tournament and the matches for the second day of the tournament were held at the Royal Sports Complex, Colombo. In the Cup final Carlton Sports club beat Air Force “A” after a keen contested game by 17 points to 14. The Air Force side gave a gallant display despite being pitted against several Sri Lanka players in the final.
