A community project was conducted at Ampara on 10th November 2012 with a view to assist children of Nugalanda Vidyalaya. This was organized by the SLÄF Seva Vanitha Unit in association with SLAF Ampara. A total number of 136 children were presented with a pack of school appliances at this occasion.

The Directorate of Health Services of the SLAF conducted a medical clinic for the people of the area on the same day. Around 1500 people attended the clinic.

Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs Nileeka Abeywickrama attended both events as the Chief Guest. Director Health Services Air Commodore DMS Karunarathna and the Commanding Officer SLAF Ampara Group Captain KDN Kodithuwakku were also present at these events.
