The 86th Men's and Women's Senior National Boxing Championships organized by the Amateur Boxing Association of Sri Lanka (ABASL) was held at Pallekele MAS Lineage Gymnasium and the finals was held at Kandy City Centre from 14 Dec to 18 Dec 12.

The winners of the tournament in the varying weights categories will qualify for the final trials of the SAF Games to be held in March 2013 in New Delhi. The following clubs were represented Slimline, Linea, Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, Unichela, Silueta, MAS Southern Boxing Club,  Vidyartha College, Kingswood College and Vidyaratne SC.

The Chief Minister of the Central Province Sarath Ekanayake was the Chief Guest and distributed the
main awards along with the Mayor of Kandy Mahendra Ratwatte.

MYM Dilshan of the Sri Lanka Air Force was awarded the Sir William Challenge Trophy for the Most Scientific Boxer and the following were the other Air Force achievements
