His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapaksha visited the New Passenger Terminal on 11th Feb 13 whilst on a visit to Northern Peninsula. The terminal was opened recently by the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshall HD Abeywickrama.
 
The new terminal at Palaly provides the passengers with all the basic requirements and with the increase in the number of passengers visiting Jaffna this facilitates easy conveyance.

The Commanding Officer Gp Capt AJ Amerasinghe, officers and airmen of SLAF Station Palaly were also present during the inspection tour.
