SLAF Base Anuradhapura wins Inter Unit Soccer Championship 2013
SLAF Base Anuradhapura emerged champions in the Inter Unit Soccer Championship 2013 held on 15th March 2013 at SLAF TTS Ekala.
In the finals, after a keen contest, SLAF Base Anuradhapura beat SLAF Station Morawewa 3-0 in a penalty shootout. AC Dashantha WAP (SLAF Base Anuradhapura) was adjudged Best Player whilst AC Weligama (SLAF Morawewa) was adjudged the Best Goal Keeper of the tournament.
Vice President of the Sri Lanka Football Federation Mr. R Puvenenthran graced the presentation ceremony as the Chief Guest. Chairman SLAF Soccer Team Air Vice Marshal PDJ Kumarasiri, Base Commander SLAF Base Anuradhapura Group Captain HSS Thuyacontha and Commanding Officer SLAF TTS Ekala Group Captain P Ranasinghe were also present at the final.
