The Air Defence Command & Control Centre SLAF Base Katunayake celebrated its 7th Formation Day on 29 Mar 13. The Formation Day celebrations began with religious activities at “Abeysekararamaya”, Negombo with the participation of the Commanding Officer Gp Capt SCK Pallawela followed by offering of ‘Heel Danaya’ to the residing Bhikkus of the temple. A Shramadanaya was carried out at the same temple on 28th March 2013.

A cricket tournament among the formation personnel was also conducted and the celebrations concluded with an all ranks lunch. The Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake Air Commodore DLS Dias was also present during these events.
