The EOD Training School celebrated its first anniversary after being relocated and a pirith chanting ceremony to mark the anniversary was held at SLAF Station Palavi on 24th March 2013. This event was followed by an alms giving for the Maha Sanga on 25 March 2013 at SLAF Station Palavi and blessings were invoked on the Commander of the Air Force, those who laid down their lives for the betterment of the Motherland, wounded in action and all serving personnel of SLAF. The Director Welfare Air Vice Marshal MLK Perera graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.  Commanding Officer SLAF Station Palavi Gp Capt  K Wannigama and Chief Instructor EOD Training School Sqn Ldr SP Weerasinghe were also present at the ceremony.
