Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit(SLAF SVU) donated a newly built house worth Rupees one million under the Anula Fernando housing project to Mrs. Jinadari and her son Minsara on last morning (17 November 2009) in Athgala, Gampola. Mrs. Jinadari is the wife of war hero Corporal Sampath Kumara who died in a Claymore attack in Morawewa on 09 January 2009. Little Minsara is also a beneficiary of the Marion Goonetileke Scholarship fund sponsored by the SLAF SVU.

The house warming ceremony was held with the presence of Mrs. Nelun Goonetileke the chairperson, SLAF SVU, Squadron Leader Dharaka Dias the project Manager, Anula Fernando housing Project and Seva Vanitha Committee members.

This house was built under the supervision of Wing Commander Chaminda Silva, the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station, Sigiriya and his subordinates.
