Air Force emerged champions at the People's Bank 7 a Side Hockey Tournament held recently at Kandy. Both the men’s and women’s titles of the tournament were won by the Air Force. The Air Force men have dominated this tournament winning it for the 5th consecutive year. In the finals Air Force beat the Police 3-2. The women stickers of the Air Force won their maiden title by defeating the Navy 2-1. The best goal keeper in the men’s tournament was Cpl Thusith Rathnayake of the Air Force and the best player in the women’s category was Ac Chathurika Premachandra.
