Annual AOC’s Inspection at SLAF Base Vauniya

The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal
Harsha Abeywickrama conducted the AOC’s inspection at Sri Lanka Air
Force Base Vavuniya on the 02nd of May 2013.
Prior to the inspection proper the Commander witnessed the AOC's parade commanded by the Base Commander of SLAF Base Vavuniya Air Cdre PDKT Jayasinghe subsequent to which Certificate of Commendations were awarded to 14762 Flight Sergeant Niluka PM (MT Fitter Sp), 22136 Sergeant Nishantha WADP (Aero Engine Fitter Sp), 36173 LAC Kumara RGN (Ops Grd III) and Mr NC Premadasa for their services to develop the Base.
The Commander inspected the sections of the Base, the three lodger formations viz. No. 111 UAV Squadron Commanded by the Base Cmdr, No. 02 Air Defence Radar Squadron Commanded by Squadron Leader KC Serasinghe, No. 23 Regiment Wing Commanded by Squadron Leader M Senevirathne and the SLAF Detachment Mamaduwa Commanded by Squadron Leader MDPB Medawatta.
Concluding the AOC’s inspection, the Commander addressed all ranks including the civilian personnel and commended their hard work to uplift the standards of the base and emphasized the need to contribute their best to the Air Force as well as to the motherland at all times.
