The 2nd Batch of Assistant Economic Development Officers Pass out from SLAF Diyatalawa

The graduates who were appointed as Assistant Economic Development Officers of Government establishments under the purview of the Ministry of Economic Development underwent a residential Skill Development Training Programme at SLAF Diyatalawa for two weeks from 19thApril 2013 to 03rdMay 2013.
The training focused to improve the character and positive attitudes of the graduates, who as government officers need to give their best when serving the motherland. Practical and theoretical aspects of Leadership, Conflict Management, Social Values, Customs and Etiquettes were part of the training.
The course participants’ demonstrated their talents through a variety entertainment programme “Sitaka Api” at the end of the course. Mr. WMP Wijebandara, Director Planning District Secretariat, Badulla and Mr. Priyantha Rathnayake, Project Director, Rathnapura District, from the Ministry of Economic Development were also present.
The training programme was coordinated by Squadron Leader JAAP Jayakody under the supervision of the Acting Commanding Officer Wing Commander SPVK Senadheera.
