Community Project at “Udaya Sooriyan” Pre-School Mullaittivu

Heralding a new era in the now peaceful terrain of Mullaittivu, the Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit conducted a community project at “Udaya Sooriyan” Pre – School Mullaittivu last morning, 20th May 2013, with a view to assist children of an underprivileged school in the vicinity of SLAF Station Mullaittivu.
A needy school was identified and arrangements were made to provide brand new school bags, stationary items and uniforms for fifty two fortunate children. The thoughtful gestures of love and care did not end there, as a set of furniture and educational aids were also provided to enhance infrastructure facilities of the kindergarten.
This was organized under the patronage of the Chairperson of Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Neelika Abeywickrema the Chief Guest of the event, on a request made by the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Mullaittivu Wg Cdr MGM Chandralal.
Mrs. Chamani Pathirage the Secretary of Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit, Asst Secretary Sqn Ldr PG De Mel and several members of SLAF SVU, Officers and parents participated in the function. It was a moment of joy for the Parents and families as the little ones performed with great talent impressing the audience with a series of events.
