The Sri Lanka National Boxing team led by Sri Lanka Air Force Pugilist Lac Mohamed Dilshan, (Under 64Kg light welter weight class) the National Champion and the most scientific boxer in the National Boxing Championship 2012. He will be proceeding for the championship along with two fellow boxers, Cpl Diwarathne Sri Lanka Army and Mr Prabhashwara Slim Line Sport Club will depart on 29th June 2013 to Jordan to take part in the ASBC Asian Boxing Confederation Championship 2013.

The Championship which is scheduled to be held from 30th June 2013 to 9th July 2013 in Amman, Jordan, will have a particular significance as the first qualifying event for the Rio de Jeneiro Brazil 2016 Olympic Games. Sqn Ldr MTM Safrask team manager, Sqn Ldr BSCP Wijesinghe assistant manager and Cpl Karunathilake the head coach will also participate in the tour.
