The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Harsha Abewickrama has approved the double promotion of Leading Aircraftwoman Thushani Perera, SLAF’s singing sensation to the rank of Sergeant with effect from 29th July 2013. As the only female participants in the Grand Finale Sgt Thushani Perera won the trophy for the first place facing stiff competition from the other four competitors from the Army and Navy.

 A Musician with eight years of service in the Sri Lanka Air Force Sgt Thushani Perera’s double promotion is in recognition of her achievement at the recently concluded Ranaviru Real Star Mission III contest.
