SLAF Judokas Win Two Medals at the International Judo Championship in Thailand

Sri Lanka Air Force Judokas, part of the Sri Lankan National Judo contingent, bagged two Bronze medals at the Thailand International Judo North Bangkok University Championship 2013 which concluded on Sunday (28th July 2013) in Bangkok, Thailand.
Leading Aircraftman Jayawardane TGR succeeded in winning one Bronze medal in the under 60Kg weight category whilst Leading Aircraftman Wickramage JSK managed to secure the Bronze medal in the under 90 Kg weight category.
In addition, Sergeant Leemagasthenne KLCK, Lance Corporal Priyanga MD and Private Sameera SAMADM from Sri Lanka Army and woman player DGCD Wijerathne from Jinaraja Balika Maha Vidyalaya Gampola also won Bronze medals in the under 55Kg, under100Kg, over 100Kg and under 45Kg weight categories respectively.
The Judokas returned to the island early this morning (30 July 2013). On arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport they were warmly received by Major Tharindu Weerasinghe the Secretary of Sri Lanka Judo Association.
