The SLAF Station Mullaittivu celebrated its 2nd anniversary on 03 August 2013. SLAF Station Mullaittivu was established as a detachment on 26 June 2009 and was declared open as a Station on 03rd August 2011. To mark the formation day 37 Regiment Wing organized a lunch for the villagers of Ponnagar, Mullaittive.Later a cricket tournament was conducted with the participation of all ranks of the station. This was followed by an all ranks lunch.

The Acting Commanding Officer Sqn Ldr WMDGCPK Warnasooriya graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Commanding officer 37 Regiment Wing Sqn Ldr PS Alexander, all officers and the other ranks of the station were also present at the event.
