The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal HD Abeywickrama, awarded prizes to the winners of the Flight Safety Poster Competition 2013 this afternoon (7 August 2013) at Air Force Headquarters. The 1st Prize of 10,000 rupees was won by Corporal Thilaka RGA, whilst the second prize of 7.500 rupees was won by Sergeant Gunawardana DCM and the third prize of 5,000 rupees was won by Corporal  Kariyawasam KGS

The poster competition which was organized by the Command Flight Safety Inspectorate, was open to all  SLAF personnel. The main objective of the Poster Competition was to promote and inculcate sound safety culture in the SLAF.

The Command Flight Safety Officer (CFSO), Air Commodore DLS Dias was also present at the ceremony.
