A Seminar on Helitours Operations and Leisure

A Seminar on ‘Helitours Operations and Leisure’ was held on 8th August 2013 at the Auditorium of the Air Force Headquarters with the intention of enlightening travel & tour operations and related media of the facilities which are extended through the commercial services of the SLAF.
The Managing Director SLAF Helitours Air Vice Marshal GP Bulathsinghala welcomed the participants and then delivered the introductory speech. Representatives of the travel agencies, members of the media and corporate sector entities from diverse fields, pledged their support and also made proposals regarding possible development that could be mutually beneficial.
Presentations were held to enlighten the audience about the Helitours Operations by Flight Lieutenant DL Colombage, the manager Charter Flights of Helitours and on the Leisure facilities offered by the SLAF by Wing Commander DDDW Wasantha Kumara the Secretary of the SLAF’s Eagles’ Golf Links. This was followed by a panel discussion, which was chaired by the Managing Director Helitours Air Vice Marshal GP Bulathsinghala, where questions raised by the audience were discussed.
The Air Force Spokesman Air Commodore AWE Wijesuriya, Senior Air staff Officer Group Captain SJS Fernando, the Secretary Eagles’ Golf Links Wing Commander DDDW Wasantha Kumara and the Manager Ticketing Wing Commander (W) RT Warakagoda were also present on the panel.
