Michael Jackson’s Brother Flies With Helitours

Mr. Jermaine Jacksun (changed from “Jackson” in 2013), one of the elder brothers of the late Michael Jackson, who shot to fame with the ‘Jackson Five’ in the 1970’s, along with a few assistants, took off for Mattala from Colombo on a chartered Helitours Bell 412 Helicopter this morning (15 August 2013). The contingent overflew Kalpitiya, Sigiriya Historical site, Hambantota Mahinda Rajapaksha harbor and Sooriyawewa Cricket Stadium during their round trip to Mattala.
Jermaine La Jaune Jacksun is an American singer, bass guitarist, composer, member of the once famed Jackson Five, and occasional film director, was born on 11 December 1954 in Gary, Indiana United States. He is married to Halima Rashid and they are blessed with two children.
Mr. Jermaine Jacksun, who was considered a close confident of the late Michael Jackson, said he would be in the country for ‘about three days’.”I have arrived here on the invitation of MP Namal Rajapaksa and I’m scheduled to meet His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapaksa as well during my stay in the country”, he told to the Daily Mirror reporter at the Bandaranayake International Airport upon his arrival. Mr. Jermaine Jacksun also added that among other objectives of the visit, he would be planning a mega musical concert in the country. (www.dailymirror.lk).
Speaking to media on his arrival Jemaine said the group now known as the ‘Jacksons’ would be coming down to Sri Lanka in due course. He was quoted by media as saying, “The ‘Jackson Five’ would never be the same without Michael and so it would be the ‘Jacksons’ who would be touring here”. (www.sundaytimes.lk).
Jermaine and his contingent witnessed the scenic beauty of Sri Lanka from high in the sky onboard Helitours Bell 412 Helicopter and on his return to Colombo this evening he mentioned to the SLAF Media that he was highly impressed with the pristine beauty of Sri Lanka, the hospitality demonstrated by all those that met him during his journey. He also stated that the Helitours Flight crew was very friendly in their service and professional in their conduct which made his journey a memorable event. He also confirmed to Wing Commander Uditha Piyasena that Sri Lanka will definitely be able to witness a live Jaksons’ concert in the very near future.
