The Passing out parade of the No.155 Regular Airmen Recruit Course was held at SLAF Academy China Bay on 30 August 2013. A total of 202 Airmen passed out after completing 17 weeks of training.

The Parade was commanded by Chief Instructor Ground Training Wing, Squadron Leader MLV Gunawardena. The Ground Training Wing of the SLAF Academy, conducted the training focusing on drill, weapon training, tactics, field craft, map reading, Air Force Organization and Administration, Air Force Law as well as basic knowledge in explosives handling, Jungle and Combat First Aid.

These budding aircraft technicians will now move onto their basic trade course at SLAF's Trade Training School at Ekela.

The Director Training Air Vice Marshal K Yahampath graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Commandant Logistic School of  the SL Army Brigadier MHP Mihindu Kulasooriya, the Commandant SLAF Academy China Bay Air Commodore  HMSK Kotakadeniya, the Commandant Naval and Maritime Academy, Trincomalee Commander VSR Perera were also present on the occassion.
