The introductory session and training workshop on Carrom for SLAF personnel was conducted at the Gymnasium of SLAF Base Ratmalana recently. The main intention of this initiative is to promote Carrom as one of the Inter Unit Games and subsequently, develop the same to take part at the Defence Services Games and also to reach the National level.   

Mrs. Mathias the General Secretary of Carrom Federation of Sri Lanka introduced the programme. Mr. GL Mathias National couch and the Chairman of Carrom federation of Sri Lanka conducted the workshop and delivered a presentation on General rules, regulations and correct playing methods.
 
A selected contingent of service personnel who excelled Carrom at Unit level actively participated in the workshop. Group Captain TADR Senanayake Actg Base Commander of SLAF Base Ratmalana, Wing Commander VTS Sirimanne the Chairman SLAF Carrom, Squadron Leader RSANE Rajapakshe the Secretary SLAF Carrom, Officers and Airmen were seen participating in the event enthusiastically.
