The 46th inter-unit athletics meet-2009 was held on 2nd and 3rd November 2009 at the sports grounds of Air Force Base Katunayaka. Over 400 athletes representing all Bases and Stations of the SLAF and 09 schools invitation relay teams also took part at this annual event. The Director Welfare of the SLAF    graced the awards ceremony as the chief guest for this event.

Scoring a total of 340 points, SLAF Station Colombo emerged champions of the meet whilst SLAF Base Kat and SLAF Station Ekala came 2nd and 3rd with 201& 187 points respectively.
