The President Declares Open a Swimming pool For The Defence Services College

A newly built fully fledged swimming pool and a four storied building was declared open at the Defence Services College, by HE the President, Mahinda Rajapaksha this morning (07 December 2009). The opened swimming pool was built entirely under the supervision of the Sri Lanka Air Force, whilst the four storied building was built by the 6th regiment of the Sri Lanka Army Engineers.
The institution which was established in accordance of a concept introduced by the secretary to the ministry of defence Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksha is solely managed by the ministry of defence of Sri Lanka. The Secretary to the ministry of defence, Mr. Gorabaya Rajapaksha, the acting Chief of Defence Staff Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileka, The Army and navy Commanders and IGP were also present at this occasion.
