The Agro Farm – piggery which functions under the Command Welfare Project Agro Unit at SLAF Base Katunayake, became Runner up in the Gampaha district (large scale farming entrepreneurs category) at the Commendation Ceremony of Livestock farming entrepreneurs in the Western Province which was held at the Council Hall Negombo recently.

The award was received by the Assistant Command Welfare Project Officer Group Captain KGR Hemachnadra on behalf of the Sri Lanka Air Force. This was organized to felicitate Livestock farming entrepreneurs who have immensely contributed for the National Production. The Chief Minister of the Western Province Hon. Prasanna Ranathunga graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest.
