Annual Concert of SLAF Preschool Katunayake

An extravagant exhibition of talents on stage marked the year end concert of the Sri Lanka Air Force preschool, Katunayake at Astra Cinema Hall on the 21st November 2013.The Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU), Mrs. Neelika Abeywikrama graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Eighty eight enthusiastic children from the SLAF Kindergarten took the stage with confidence through a lineup of a variety of events which included dances, songs, speeches and nursery rhymes which made the event unforgettable. This event showed the entire community the importance of effective early childhood development for a better future for the children.
The Ceremony commenced traditionally with lighting of the oil lamp by the Chief Guest. Base Commander of SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Commodore SK Pthirana, Mrs. Chamini Pathirana, Sinior Officers, O I/C Pre-School Wing Commander KDS Gunawardene, Head Teacher Mrs. Prashanthi Perera, Members of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, distinguished guests, the parents of the children and well wishers were also present to witness the event.
