The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama addressed a cross section of Officers, other ranks and civilians this morning (1st January 2014) at Air Force Head Quarters premises.

In his message the Commander commended the hard work put in by each and every person in the organization towards success in the previous year and emphasized the need to corporate further and build upon progress achieved in the coming year.

The Commander highlighted the facts that all our activities are governed by our minds. If our thoughts are clear and strong we could face any challenge that we may encounter. What is important is not dwelling on the past nor harping on the future but facing the reality of the present. A multi religious ceremony was also held to invoke blessings on the SLAF and its personnel.
