SLAF lifters won the both Men's and Women's titles at the National Weight Lifting Championship 2014 which was concluded last evening(8th February 2014) at the YMCA Kandy. The Championship was held on 7th and 8th February 2014 with large number of participants.

In the Men's title SLAF won 4 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals and 1 Bronze medal while Aircraftsman Samarasekara RMRR, Aircraftsman Peters SM and Aircraftsman Wijerathna RPMS established new Sri Lankan records.
 
SLAF women lifters won 5 Golds, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze with two National Records which were established by Leading Aircraftswoman Kumarasinghe SS and Leading Aircraftswoman Harishchandra MMD.
