The International Military Sport Council (CISM) Day Run 2014 was flagged off this morning (16th February 2014) at the Colombo Light House Gallery. Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake, Commander of the SL Navy Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage and Chief of Staff of the SLAF Air Vice Marshal Kolitha  Gunatilleke initiated the run.

Three hundred personnel from the Three Services participated in this year’s ‘CISM Day Run’ which covered a distance of 4 km in the Galle Face area.

Seventy eight personnel from the SLAF including Members of the SLAF Board of Management, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in this year’s event.
